How to Smoke Filet Mignon on a Pellet Grill

If you’re planning on making smoked filet mignon at home, there are a few tips you should know first. This recipe should be able to deliver the smoky taste that you’ve been craving. The meat should be at least 120 degrees internally, and you can smoke it over 450 degrees to give it that perfect smokey flavor. For the best results, start by leaving the steaks out at room temperature for 20 minutes before you put them in the smoker. After the steaks reach that temperature, you can add compound butter or snipped bacon to the top of the meat.

The next step in making smoked filet mignon is to prepare the beef. The steak should be seasoned liberally with Montreal steak spice. The steaks should be seasoned on all sides and edges. They should be refrigerated for at least an hour. Once the meat has reached an internal temperature of 120 degrees, it can then be grilled. In addition to the bacon, a smoky filet mignon is a great dish to serve during a dinner party.

After preparing the steak, season it well with salt and pepper. Grilling a filet mignon on a pellet grill will produce a perfectly cooked steak with the desired amount of buttery tenderness. Select a USDA Choice or higher cut of filet mignon to grill. This recipe is best for the top third of the beef tenderloin. You can also select a lower grade beef for this recipe.

When it comes to smoking filet mignon, be sure to use a wood-pellet grill for best results. This method is great for steaks that are still frozen after grilling. The heat generated from the wood-pellet grill will also result in an even more succulent steak. You can serve smoked filet mignon with a luscious crab imperial. A few minutes of preparation and you’ll be enjoying a delicious smoked filet mignon.

ThermaQ smokers use a briquette fire to impart the meat with a smokey flavor. If you’re using a briquette fire, you’ll need to preheat the grill to 450-500 degrees. Make sure you don’t forget to pre-cook the filet mignon for at least two days. If you’re cooking smoked filet mignon for the first time, you should set the briquette fire to a minimum of 50 percent.

Once the briquettes are ready, you should rest them for 10 minutes before slicing them. After this, you should slice the filets into thin slices for a slider. To make the smoked filet mignon delicious, you should try it! It’s definitely a meal to impress your guests. The meat should be grilled for two to three minutes per side, or up to four minutes for medium.
