How to Grill Asparagus on a Charcoal Grill

Published

on

The grilled asparagus has become a staple of my kitchen. Not only is it quick to make, but the flavor is out of this world. It pairs well with pork tenderloin and a hearty farro salad. I’m usually too busy to make the main dish myself, so I often grill it on the side. It’s a great side dish and I serve it about twice a week. It’s also perfect for hot weather.

If you’d rather not use a grill, you can use a stovetop grill pan to grill the asparagus. To cook it on a stovetop, simply place the asparagus in batches and cook them on the stovetop. Heat it to high but reduce the heat if necessary. Because indoor stovetop grill pans don’t get as hot as outdoor grills, you may need to cook the asparagus for five to six minutes on each side. The result may not be as crispy as those produced by a grill, but the asparagus will be crispier and more tender than if you grill it on an outdoor grill.

To grill the asparagus on a grill, you need a baking sheet or a baking tray that can handle the high heat. Stainless steel or aluminum sheets will do. Spread out the asparagus and season it with salt and pepper before placing it on the grill grate. Flip the asparagus spears over halfway through to cook it evenly. You can add lemon juice or any other seasonings if you wish. If you don’t have a grill rack, you can use foil instead.

To grill asparagus, make sure to trim the woody end from the bottom. The bottom part is usually tough and woody. Before you start grilling, snap off the stems and cut them into spears. This will give them their beautiful, tender appearance. A light coating of salt and olive oil will also prevent the asparagus from sticking to the grill grates. Aside from enhancing their appearance, the asparagus will also enhance their flavor. To get the most out of your asparagus, grilling it over a hot stove will enhance the flavors and aroma of the vegetable.

Once you’ve grilled the asparagus, you can serve it with more salt, lemon juice, or balsamic vinegar. Serve the asparagus as quickly as possible, or save leftovers and reheat them in the fridge for up to four days. You can also grill it in the oven, or you can roast it in the oven for about 10-15 minutes. Alternatively, grill the asparagus using two skewers. Using two skewers makes it easier to turn the asparagus and prevents the stalks from slipping through the grill.

To grill asparagus, you need to cut the bottom part of the spears off. Afterward, rub it with extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle with salt. You should cook the asparagus in the grill until it is fork tender and slightly charred. To make it more palatable, you can add a sprinkle of lemon zest. To grill asparagus over a gas grill, you can also use a heavy skillet. To grill asparagus, heat it over medium heat until it starts smoking. Add two teaspoons of oil to the pan. Grill the spears until they are fork tender.
